ACCOMMODATION
Accommodation is concentrated in the string of huge new hotels lining Yaza Thingaha
Road , many of them still fresh out of their wrappings, although the lack of visitors can make
some places feel decidedly moribund - the entire strip has all the atmosphere of a motorway
service station. There are no real budget places to stay, although the massive glut of accom-
modation at least means that most places are excellent value for money, with rooms here go-
ing for around half the price or less of equivalent-standard establishments in Yangon.
