tend to drop off passengers all along the main road before terminating at the bus station.

Bymotorbike/boatfromChaungTha It'salsopossibletogettoNgweSaungdirectlyfrom
Chaung Tha overland by motorbike taxi (K20,000), a fun, if bumpy, 2hr ride involving three
small ferry crossings en route, or by hiring a boat (K80,000-100,000) for a boat seating five-
plus people - a great way to arrive if you can get a group together to share the cost, although
prices for this trip are currently a lot cheaper in Chaung Tha, so you may prefer to take the
trip starting there. Transfers by boat and motorbike can be organized through local tour oper-
ators .
GETTING AROUND
Thebeachareaisveryspreadout-it'salmost5kmfromthevillagetothe Silver Coast Beach
Hotel , for example. Some guesthouses/hotels have bikes for rental, while bikes (K3000/day)
and motorbikes (K10,000/day) can also be rented from Ko Toe and Tom Tom . A few mo-
torbiketaxis and rickshaws tend to meet arriving buses, but other than this, transport is thin
on the ground.
