Compared to most of Yangon's humdrum accommodation offerings, this place is a real find,
occupying a homely colonial-style villa set amid lush gardens in the exclusive Golden Val-
ley area - all very peaceful, and feeling a long way from the hubbub of the city centre. The
spacious, old-fashioned rooms are nicely kitted out with colonial-style furniture and the oc-
casional artwork - a little worn around the edges but full of character and charm. There's
also an excelle

restaurant
in the garden out the front. A taxi from here to Sule Pagoda costs
around K4000.
