grows his own herbs, fruits, and vegetables without pesticides on his North
Shore farm. Satay shrimp, basil-infused eggplant with tofu, evil jungle prince
(shrimp, chicken, or vegetables in a basil-coconut-chile sauce), Thai garlic
shrimp with mushrooms, pad Thai noodles, and the ever-delectable panang,
green, and yellow curries are among his abiding delights. There's no kids' menu

buffet is $17 and dinner is $19. Since most everything is buffet, there is no kids'
menu, but there are kids' prices: $1 per year up to 12 years old.

Cha Cha Cha MEXICAN/CARIBBEAN Its heroic margaritas, cheap happy-
hour beer, pupu, excellent homemade chips, and all-around lovable menu make
this a Waikiki treasure. If your family is partial to salsa and to Mexican and
Caribbean cuisine, you will be in heaven. A reasonably priced kids' menu (where
the quesadilla is the number-one pick) and friendly staff make this a terrific fam-
ily treat. Ask about the specials because they're likely to be wonderful. Blackened
swordfish, curried fresh grilled vegetables, and homemade desserts (including a
creamy toasted coconut custard you won't want to miss) are some of the high-
lights. Its location, across from two of Waikiki's three movie theaters, makes it a
choice spot for pre- and after-theater dining.
