constraints and c o nsiderations (M1). You must include detailed evidence showing clear reasoning and
explain why certain d estinations were rejected as being unsuitable.
This task is designed to pr o vide evidence for P1 and M1.
Task 2
The second section of your report should:
a.
Describe the reasons for, and the process of, r isk assessment, completing a risk assessment for the proposed
study visit (P2). Your report must distinguish b e tween 'risks' and 'hazards' and show understanding of the
overall aim of a risk assessment. You must als o produce a risk assessment for your proposed study visit,
which must identify at least six potential hazards a nd their level of risk, plus the controls put in place to
reduce each risk. Your evidence must include pot e ntial hazards relating to travel to, from and within the
destination, activities to be undertaken during the visit and those associated with free time. You must
complete offi cial risk assessment documentation and include it in your report.
b.
Explain how hazards and risks identifi ed in the risk asses s ment will be minimised (M2). You will already
have identifi ed hazards and risks in Task 2a, but for this task you are required to explain how each will
work and contribute positively to health and safety. For example, you could explain why checking that
a coach company conforms to all appropriate legislation will help to ensure that health and safety is
maintained.
This task is designed to provide evidence for P2 and M2.
Task 3
The third section of your report should be a description of how you made a positive contribution during
planning, prior to and while on the residential study visit (P3). You must includ e evidence of your positive
participation during the visit with, for example, witness statements, tutor observation reports and tutor
assessments. Your evidence must include your contribution to planning the visit, responsibilities undertaken
before the visit and participation in the visit itself.
This task is designed to provide evidence for P3.
Task 4
In the fourth section of your report you must:
a.
Prepare different methods of gathering feedback, evaluating the success of the residential st u dy visit
(P4). You must ensure that feedback is gathered that covers the following success criteria - suita b ility of
destination, accommodation, travel, duration, visits, budget, personal expenditure, meeting aims and
objectives, availability of speakers and facilities available. You will need to use methods of gathe r ing
