Retail Travel Operations
Introduction
This assignment is made up of 4 tasks which, when succes s fully completed, are designed to give you suffi cient
evidence to meet the Pass (P), Merit (M) and Distinction ( D) grading criteria for the unit. If you have carried
out the activities and read the case studies throughout this unit, you will already have done a lot of work
towards completing the tasks for this assignment.
Scenario
You've been lucky enough to secure a summer placement with Lucy Green, a freelance travel agency training
specialist who used to be a training manager for one of the UK's leadin g travel agency chains. Lucy has
just won a 12-month contract to deliver training to 100 new travel Appre n tices to be recruited by a major
'miniple' agency in the south of England. She would like you to help her prep a re some of the materials that
she will use when training the recruits in the company's head offi ce in Reading.
