monogram, but the over-zealous branding can be overlooked at this smart, laid-back cafe,
which is one of the city's hippest places (see 5 , E5) to hang over coffee, lunch,

makes it a laptop-user favourite.

Le Renaissance Café
Soul-soaringly high vaulted ceiling, sleek black Panton chairs and exquisitely low drink
prices seduce a mixed crowd at this artsy hangout in Palazzo Strozzi, plumb on

The golden oldie in which to refuel after an Uffizi or Palazzo Vecchio visit, this pricey
little number with unbeatable people-watching terrace has produced the city's most ex-
quisite chocolate since 1872 - pay €6.50 (with whipped cream €8) for the privilege of en-
joying one sitting down.
