Leonardo da Vinci
Room 15 displays two early Florentine works by Leonardo da Vinci: the incomplete
Adoration of the Magi (1481-82), drawn in red earth pigment (removed for restoration
works at time of writing), and his Annunciation (c 1472), painted in Florence for the Ch-
iesa di San Bartolomeo and moved to the Uffizi in 1867.
The Tribune
The Medici clan stashed away their most precious art in this octagonal-shaped treasure
trove (room 18), created by Francesco I between 1581 and 1586. Designed to amaze and
recently restored to its original exquisite state, it features a small collection of classical
