Uffizi Gallery
The Uffizi's extraordinary art collection spans the gamut
of art history, but its core is the masterpiece-rich Renais-
sance collection - a morning can easily be spent enjoying
its unmatched collection of Botticellis alone. The ongoing
€65 million 'New Uffizi' project saw 1800 sq m of gallery
space added in 2012 and expansion continues well into
2014. When complete (end date unknown), the Uffizi will include over 100 rooms and a
designer exit by Japanese architect Arato Isozaki.
