On Via Porta Rossa is this 14th-century warehouse residence ( Click here ) with its stud-
ded doors and central loggia. A few doors down, next to the Slowly bar, peep through the
sturdy iron gate and up to see the ancient brick vaults.

Continue to Via de' Tornabuoni, the city's most famous shopping strip. Cross Piazza
Santa Trinìta, looking up to admire 13th-century Palazzo Spini-Feroni, home of Salvatore

chapels.
Via del Parione
Wander down this narrow street filled with old mansions (now apartments) and artisan's

Back to Via de' Tornabuoni, veer into Borgo SS Apostoli for this Romanesque church
set in a sunken square once used as a cemetery for unbaptised babies. Onwards, find
