security check to reach the main building, built into the hillside. One-hour guided tours
finish with a tasting of three Antinori wines in an all-glass room suspended above barrels
in the cellar (wow!).
Castello di Brolio
Home to the aristocratic Ricasoli family, this 11th-century wine estate (

guided tours €15, with wine & oil tasting €35; year round, by appt) near Gaiole in Chianti has deve-
loped a sculpture park showcasing 13 site-specific artworks by major international artists.
