Local Life
Mercato di Sant'Ambrogio
This market (Piazza Ghiberti; 7am-2pm Mon-Sat) has a more local flavour than the larger and more high-
profile Mercato Centrale in San Lorenzo. Food stalls dominate, and can be found in both the outdoor market and
inside the produce hall (fruit and veg outside, meat and cheese inside). The best day to visit is Saturday, when
farmers from the region travel here to sell produce straight from the field.
