There are six frescoed chapels within the main church, with the most important being to
the right of the main chapel and alter. The
Cappella Bardi
and
Cappella Peruzzi
were
decorated by Giotto (1317-25), whose assistant and most loyal pupil, Taddeo Gaddi,
