Work Permits
Working abroad on your gap year is becoming more and more popular each year. If you are
considering this as a gap year option, make sure you plan in advance. If you are planning to
work outside of Europe, you will most likely need to get a Work Permit. These are usually
in limited supply and tend to run out quite quickly.
To be eligible for a Work Permit you generally need to be aged 18-30 at the time of applica-
tion. If you are over 30, don't despair! You can still work in Europe with a British Passport
as you do not require a Work Permit.
