Most budget and midrange options are in town occupying multistorey buildings in the old
shophouse district. It is an atmospheric setting with cheap tasty food nearby but you'll
have to 'commute' to the beach, either by walking to north Hat Hua Hin (best at low tide)
or catching a sŏrng·tăa·ou to the southern end of Hat Hua Hin.
The top-end options are beachfront resorts sprawling south from the Sofitel. All the in-
ternational brands have a presence in Hua Hin but we've only listed special local options
for a more intimate experience.
