BYPASSING BANGKOK
An expanding network of bus and minivan services now connects the eastern seaboard with Suvarnabhumi air-
port, meaning that you don't have to transit through Bangkok for a flight arrival or departure. This is especially
alluring to winter-weary visitors eager to reach a beach fast. Ko Samet is the closest prettiest beach to the airport
and its southeastern beaches are serene enough for honeymooners. From the airport bus terminal, check the
schedule for Rayong-bound buses and then catch a sŏrng·tăa·ou to reach the ferry pier to Ko Samet.
