use the original value to determine if the player is moving up or down, and set the
_sidePressed variable appropriately.
Now you can test this with a connected controller if you have one, and you should
be able to use either the D-Pad or left thumbstick to move the player sprite up and
down the screen, just like you can with a mouse, keyboard, or touch screen.
