Museum Events
An amazing variety of events, both entertaining and enlightening, are available
to the public. Phone ahead or check online for updates. Try out some of the in-
teractive exhibits, or take part in debates on controversial issues. One highlight
is a section of the original Woolworth's lunch counter from Greensboro, NC, a
landmark from the Civil Rights Movement, when African-Americans sat at this
“whites only” counter asking to be served. At regular intervals you are invited to
relive the events of 1960.
Tip: The Stars and Stripes Café and Constitution Café are located within the
museum and offer a variety of sweet and savory treats.
