treat. With its open fire, faux books, oil paintings and relaxed, neighbourhood feel, it's a
world away from the glitzier options in these parts.

Located in a cobbled mews, this quaint little pub was Wellington's local (his horse
mounting block survives outside) and his officers' mess; the original pewter bar survives
and the wood-panelled interior is cosy. Serves real ales and pricey food.

A convivial, quirky and raffish little pub in a posh mews, with dark wood-panelling, a
