Beaches & Bars on the Lido
Beach chairs and bronzed lifeguards may seem a world away from
muggy Venice in summer, but they're only a 15-minute ferry ride away.
Sandy beaches line the seaward side of the Lido; they're packed in sum-
mer but surprisingly clean (they earned 2012 Blue Flag eco-accredita-
tion) and their gentle gradient makes them safe for kids. For adults,
there's refreshing cocktails and epic summer-weekend DJ sessions and
beach concerts.
