Designed and built by Jacopo Sansovino with a facade by Palladio, this enchanting
Franciscan church is one of Venice's most underappreciated attractions. Bellini's

Madonna and Saints
illuminates the Cappella Santa, just off the flower-car-
peted cloister. Swimming angels and strutting birds steal the scene in the delight-

Palazzo Querini Stampalia
MUSEUM
Modern meets baroque in this 16th-century palace, donated by Conte Giovanni
Querini Stampalia to the city in 1869 and updated by Carlo Scarpa in the 1940s.
