The third large bay beyond Livádhia,
Áyios Konstandínos
, is a partly shaded,
sand-and-gravel cove with a good seasonal taverna. Further afield, lonely
Vátses
and
Kaminákia
beaches are visited by a seasonal excursion boat from Péra Yialós. By land,
Vátses
has the easier dirt road and is 25 minutes by scooter from Livádhia; sandy, with
a basic
kantína
, it's often windy. The track to
Kaminákia
, 8.5km from Livádhia, is
rough and steep for the final 2km - best to go in a jeep - but the sheltered, clean and
scenic cove, Astypálea's best, repays the effort.
