TEA GARDENS
Some of the most appealing places to take tea are the city's
parks
, where small tearooms
charge around ¥500 for a cup, often served with a small sweet treat. The best are located in
Hama Rikyū Teien (see p.82), Shinjuku Gyoen (see p.124), Happōen (see p.104), Kyū Iwasaki-tei
Gardens (see p.64) and Kyū Furukawa Gardens (see p.132).

Named after a Korean drama series that
proved particularly popular in Japan, this café specializes
in sweet Korean fruit and herbal teas (from ¥700). It's
festooned with colourful flowers (including a small garden
of fake ones on a balcony) and busy with women swooning
over the pretty-boy waiters.
