warming in the ocean appear much greater than it really is. So the constant checking and
correcting of data is extremely important in all parts of science. But the most important
questions are: can the results be reproduced? And is there the weight of evidence from
many research groups to show the same changes? This is why, after over 30 years of in-
tensive research into climate change, most scientists have a very high level of confidence
that climate change is happening and that it is due human activity.
