The visitor center
is a large repository of resources, with a staff of helpful advisers ready to assist in plan-
ning your trip. Services and info available here include free maps, visitor guides, half-
price theater tickets, accommodation and tour bookings, plus a host of glossy brochures
on the city and the wider BC region.
Getting There & Away
AIR
lines from Canada, the US and international locales. It's in Richmond, a 13km,
30-minute drive from downtown.
Domestic flights arriving here include regular
Westjet

by free shuttle bus, the South Terminal receives BC-only flights from smaller airlines and
floatplane operators.
Several handy floatplane services can also deliver you directly to the Vancouver water-
vices from Victoria's Inner Harbour.
BOAT
town - from Vancouver Island's Swartz Bay (passenger/vehicle $15.50/51.25, 90
minutes) and Nanaimo's Duke Point (passenger/vehicle $15.50/51.25, two hours). Ser-
vices also arrive here from the Southern Gulf Islands.
Ferries arrive at West Vancouver's Horseshoe Bay - 30 minutes from downtown -
from Nanaimo's Departure Bay (passenger/vehicle $15.50/51.25, 90 minutes) and Lang-
dale (passenger/vehicle $14.55/49.05, 40 minutes) on the Sunshine Coast.
