Harney County Historical Museum MUSEUM

relics - from photos to coins to guns to a document sentencing a hanging - are on exhibit
at this museum; if you're a couple, the $5 admission covers you both.
Crystal Crane Hot Springs SPRING

25 miles southeast of Burns and 3 miles northwest of Crane, is a little oasis and worth a
stop. The springs flow into a large pond ($3.50 day use) and are also piped into tubs in
small private bathhouses ($7.50 per person per hour; reserve on weekends).

$45-67; ) This very casual 'resort' is 25 miles from Burns, and an oasis in the desert.
Accommodations are rustic, with simple cabins that share outside baths. Hot-spring and
kitchen use is included, and there's a common room. There's also two houses available to
rent and you can even stay in tipis ($20 to $55).

Burns RV Park CAMPGROUND$

Just a quarter-mile east of Burns, on the main road, is this pleasant RV and camping park.
Sites are decent, and some have shade.
Idlewild Campground CAMPGROUND$
( 541-573-4300; Hwy 395; campsites $10) North of town 17 miles, just off Hwy 395, this
public campground is in the Malheur National Forest. It's peaceful, with pleasant sites
among Jeffrey pines.
