rounding high desert mountain terrain - amazing Crater Lake National Park ( Click
here ) is only 60 miles north, and there are lots of area lakes and fishing streams to ex-
plore. And for those into outdoor sports, you can boat, raft, fish and bike - plenty to keep
you active and busy.
Sights & Activities
Downtown has quite a few old but noteworthy buildings - take a walk and discover them
(the visitor center has a pamphlet). In winter there's snowshoeing and cross-country
skiing west on Hwy 140 at Lake of the Woods and north at Crater Lake.
Klamath County Museum MUSEUM

9am-5pm Tue-Sat) Learn about the area's history at this slightly quirky museum in the old
armory. Along with natural-history dioramas and fine Native American basketry, look for
the pelican figurine collection. The museum also maintains historic artifacts housed in
the 1905 Baldwin Hotel (

Favell Museum of Western Art & Indian Artifacts MUSEUM

Tue-Sat) Good upscale museum (for K-Falls) with Native American tools, basketry and
bead work - check out the over 60,000 arrowheads on display, including one made of
opal. Miniature guns and local artwork gallery as well.
Hutch's CYCLING

Sun) Rents bikes and offers free bike rides in summer. Ask about the OC&E Woods Line
State Trail , which follows a historical rail bed for 100 miles.
Adventure Center RAFTING

Klamath River.
