Jacksonville Cemetery CEMETERY
( www.friendsjvillecemetery.org ) A well-maintained, 32-acre cemetery, it is worth a wander
to explore historic pioneer gravesites chronicling wars, epidemics and other untimely
deaths. For two days in October, the 'Meet the Pioneers' program has volunteers in peri-
od costumes leading tours. The chamber of commerce has helpful literature with maps.

Trolley Tours SIGHTSEEING TOUR
(adult/child 6-12yr $5/3) These narrated tours provide a good historical overview of the
town; they run daily May through October.

Jacksonville has limited and mostly upscale accommodations (reserve ahead). There's
more choice and less expensive accommodations 6 miles east in Medford ( Click here ) .
Cantrall-Buckley Campground CAMPGROUND$

Located in Ruch, 10 miles west of Jacksonville on Hwy 238, this first-come, first-served
campground (showers available) is shaded by oak, fir and madrone trees. The pleasant
Applegate River flows nearby.

) This gorgeous arts-and-crafts-style house offers six elegant rooms, all different sizes
and with different decoration but each with feather bed, down comforter and private
