are good standard rooms at Cedar Lodge, some with microwave and refrigerator. One of
the better places on this drag, it boasts a small outdoor swimming pool.
White House B&B$$$

large lovely room with sitting room is generally available at this friendly B&B. If you're
in a group or family and are willing to share the bathroom, you can take another room
($50). It's in a residential neighborhood and a gourmet breakfast will be cooked to order
for you.
Buttercloud Bakery & Cafe AMERICAN$
( 541-973-2336; www.buttercloudbakery.com ; 310 Genessee St; biscuit sandwiches $6.25-6.75;
7am-3pm Tue-Sat, 8am-2pm Sun) For a breakfast treat, head on over to this small but
bright bakery-cafe. Biscuit sandwiches are the highlight here; order them with toppings
like eggs, bacon, brisket, spinach, roasted peppers and goat's cheese. A few soups, salads
and sides are also available, along with luscious pastries.
Porters AMERICAN$$$

till 9:30pm Fri & Sat) This gorgeous arts-and-crafts-style restaurant is decked out in dark-
wood booths and boasts an awesome patio next to the train tracks. Steak, seafood and
pasta dishes dominate the menu, though the food won't blow you away. The attached bar
stays open later.
Downtown Market Co AMERICAN$$$

Fri, noon-4pm Sat) Gourmet market that also offers cooking classes in its open back kit-
chen. Come here for good sandwiches (changed daily), soups and salads. There are also
incredible-looking desserts.
