is a fine deal, offering a dozen tasteful and spacious rooms and suites, some with kitchen
and three with Jacuzzi (one on a tiny private outdoor deck). A good choice for families;
get suite 10 for a great view of the Siuslaw River. There's a sauna too.

Lovejoy's Restaurant & Tearoom FUSION$

Sat) Darling little place serving up seafood treats (clam chowder, crab cakes), sandwiches
and wraps, quiches and salads, and various luscious desserts (lemon curd cheesecake,
brownie sundae). High tea - good for lunch - starts at 11am.

Waterfront Depot NORTHWESTERN$$$
( 541-902-9100; www.thewaterfrontdepot.com ; 1252 Bay St; mains $12-16; 4-10pm) This
cozy, atmospheric joint is one of Florence's best restaurants. Come early to snag one of
the few waterfront tables, then enjoy your Jambalaya pasta or crab-encrusted halibut.
There are excellent small plates, a great wine list and desserts are spectacular. Reserve
ahead - it's well priced and very popular.

Spice ASIAN$$$
( 541-997-1646; www.spiceinflorence.com ; 1269 Bay St; mains $8-18; 3-9pm Tue-Sun) For a
variety of different Asian (and more) cuisines, and all surprisingly well prepared, head to
Spice. There is a pho noodle bowl from Vietnam, Bulgogi barbecue from Korea, lamb
koftas from Armenia and tandoori chicken from India. On Friday, the seafood buffet
($18) is a great deal. Small plates too.
