fers cowboy comfort food with a twist, such as cider-brined pork chop with brussels
sprouts, Cajun beef medallions and grilled shrimp with house-made grits. Happy hour
promises $9 natural-beef burgers and a mac 'n' cheese 'flight' (three tastes of their
smoked, bacon and truffle mac 'n' cheeses).

Bend's latest brewpub darling, located in an industrial neighborhood (don't let the 'no
trespassing' and 'private road' signs put you off). It has an awesome casual atmosphere,
with fermentation tanks behind glass windows housing the unique experimental beers
that this place puts out. Try the beer flight, which comes with six 5oz pours. Outdoor
seating, family friendly and a good range of foods made with beer.
Deschutes Brewery & Public House BREWPUB

midnight Fri & Sat, till 10pm Sun) Bend's first microbrewery serves up plenty of food at its
beautiful and huge two-story restaurant with balcony seating. Handcrafted beers includ-
ing Mirror Pond Pale Ale, Black Butte Porter and Obsidian Stout; its Red Chair NWPA
was voted 'world's best beer' in 2012 by the World Beer Awards. Free daily tours are
given every hour from 1pm to 4pm at its plant at 901 SW Simpson Ave.
