Pole Pedal Paddle OUTDOORS

extraordinary outdoor resources - it includes skiing, mountain biking, running and ca-
noeing/kayaking.
Bend Summer Festival PERFORMING ARTS

Bend in July, check out the Bend Summer Festival, which features artists, street per-
formers, live music, plenty of food and lots of fun.
Sleeping
There's a countless supply of cheap motels, hotels and services on 3rd St (US 97). The
Mill Inn has one dorm room for penny-pinchers. During special festivals and events,
Bend's lodging rates head north.

are a notch up from the usual, with stylish comforters and drapes. It's just off the main
commercial drag.

$26/21, yurts $39; ) Riverside spots are best at this piney campground 5 miles northw-
est of Bend off US 20. Showers and flush toilets available.
