In-Depth Information
for loggers and ranchers, Sisters is today a bustling tourist destination whose main street
is lined with boutiques, art galleries and eateries housed in Western-facade buildings.
Visitors come for the mountain scenery, spectacular hiking, fine cultural events and fant-
astic climate - there's plenty of sun and little precipitation here. And while the town's at-
mosphere is a bit upscale, people are still friendly and the back streets still undeveloped
enough that deer are often seen nibbling in neighbors' garden plots.
