Getting There & Around
The Salem Airport is about 4 miles west of downtown, though there are no commercial
flights. The Hut Airport Shuttle ( 503-364-4444; www.portlandairportshuttle.com )
provides frequent service between Salem and Portland International Airport.
For long-distance bus services there's Greyhound ( 503-362-2428) , at the Amtrak
Station. Trains stop at the Amtrak Station ( 503-588-1551; www.amtrak.com ; 500 13th St
SE) . Cherriots ( 503-588-2877; www.cherriots.org ; 285 Church St NE) buses serve the city;
there's no weekend or holiday service.
