A short walk up the hill from the boat landing you'll find rangers, wilderness per-
mits, summer naturalist programs, kids activities, a 10-minute video on the surrounding
area and the Golden West Art Gallery.
Getting There & Away
The seaplane and ferry company work together, so you can arrange to fly to Stehekin one
way and take the ferry the other for $113.

Provides seaplane service between Stehekin and Chelan for $89/178 one way/round-trip.
the 285-passenger
Lady of the Lake II
ferry (no cars) leaving from Chelan boat dock
daily at 8:30am and arriving at Stehekin at 12:30pm. It makes a 90-minute stopover be-
fore returning at 2pm (arriving back in Chelan at 6pm). The round-trip cost is $40.50. Al-
ternatively, you can travel on the faster
Lady Express,
which cuts the four-hour boat trip
in half (leave Chelan 8:30am, arrive Stehekin 10:45am). The
Lady Express
lays over in
Stehekin for one hour before heading back at 11:45am (arriving back in Chelan at
2:20pm). The round-trip cost is $61. Both boats stop on the way at Lucerne and a few
other docks on request. From October 15 to May 1 only the
Lady Express
runs the trip.
Getting Around
Although there are roads and cars
in
Stehekin, there are no roads
to
Stehekin. Courtesy
transportation to and from the boat landing is included in most lodging prices.
Bicycles are the easiest way to get around. If you'd prefer to bring your own, the Lake
Chelan Boat Company charges $24 round-trip for bike transportation.
From late May to early October, the National Park Service runs the
Stehekin Shuttle
Bus

up and down Stehekin Valley Rd four times a day. The 11 miles
from the boat landing to High Bridge, where the drivable road ends, costs $5/2.50/5 per
adult/child/bike.
