In La Push itself,Twilightboat tours operated by the Quileute Nation
( www.quileutenation.org ) sail out to Bella and Jacob's cliff (from which Bella jumps in
New Moon). You'll probably see plenty of seabirds but no Taylor Lautner.
Sights & Activities
Aside from the Twilight kitsch, Forks is pretty sleepy.
Timber Museum MUSEUM
(US 101; admission $3; 10am-4pm mid-Apr-Oct) Next door to the chamber of commerce,
the Timber Museum commemorates the early settlers and loggers of the region. Included
in the museum's collection is a steam donkey (used to transport logs), pioneer farming
implements and a fire lookout tower.
Fishing Tours
You can organize fishing trips for steelhead and coho salmon from $275/330 for one/two
people per day on the local rivers at the Three Rivers Resort MAP ( 360-374-5300;
7764 La Push Rd) , 8 miles west of Forks on Hwy 110. The lodge also rents surf and boogie
boards for Pacific Coast adventurers.
Sleeping
There are plenty of motels along the main drag that are all quite similar in price and qual-
ity.
Bogachiel State Park CAMPGROUND$
( 360-374-6356; Hwy 101; tent/RV sites $17/24) The most convenient campground is 6
miles south of Forks, right on the Bogachiel River, with 37 sites, piped water and flush
toilets.
Miller Tree Inn B&B$$$
( 360-374-6806; www.millertreeinn.com ; 654 E Division St; r $115-230; ) A note on the
door from the Cullens (a fictional family in the Twilight books) tells you that they're
away on vacation but the innkeepers will take care of you. While this 1916 farmhouse in
a bucolic residential area has little in common with the deep-forest modern home of the
