San Juan Cruises CRUISE

sons) with beer or wine tasting ($35), whale-watching around the San Juan Islands (from

Northwest Navigation CRUISE

timate, boutique cruise experience (maximum six passengers), Northwest Navigation
runs exceptional multiday cruises on a beautifully refurbished 1929 tow boat. Expect to
experience the natural world at its finest and dine on exquisite fresh food. Most tours
take in the San Juan Islands, but the boat goes as far afield as Alaska via the Inside Pas-
sage.

ance Sea Kayak Adventures, which runs a full-day trip in Chuckanut Bay, launching

Fairhaven Bike & Mountain Sports CYCLING
( www.fairhavenbike.com ; 1103 11th St) Fairhaven Bike & Mountain Sports rents bikes from
$40 a day and has all the info and maps on local routes. This is one of the most bike-
friendly cities in the Northwest, with a well-maintained intra-urban trail going as far
south as Larrabee State Park. Also rents out cross-country skis and snowshoes in the
winter.
