Most of Seattle's attractions are concentrated in a compact central area that includes
downtown, historic Pioneer Square (the original downtown), the waterfront, touristy but
real
Pike Place Market and the adjacent nightlife strip of Belltown. As long as you ac-
count for the hilly terrain, it's easy enough to walk back and forth among all of these
areas. Public transportation serves the outlying neighborhoods.
