Having a car during at least some portion of your trip is all but a necessity. Texans love their vehicles and most cities are
well spread out as a result. Public transportation is limited even within big metro areas and it's non-existent in small
towns.
Exiting
Highways in-state may come together for a while and branch off each other; note that exits are not always on
the right.
Interstates
Posted speed limits may be as much as 85mph, and traffic can move even faster. Lanes multiply in cities;
don't be surprised to find yourself in traffic that is 12 lanes across.
