There is no public transportation to, from or within the park. The closest buses and trains
run through Alpine, 108 miles northwest of Panther Junction. The nearest major airports
are in Midland (230 miles northeast) and El Paso (325 miles northwest).
Please note that the border patrol has checkpoints for vehicles coming from Big Bend.
If you're not a US citizen, presenting your passport will help avoid delays (ie prove
you're not coming from Mexico).
