Activities
For truly awesome beaches, head east out to Mustang Island and Port Aransas.
Cycling
If the wind's not too fierce, a very pleasant afternoon can be spent cycling along the bay-
front. Shoreline Bicycles (
9am-5pm Mon-Sat) rents bikes (from
361-883-8888; 555 S Shoreline Blvd;
$20 per day).
Fishing
Most of the skippers who charter boats are based in Rockport or Port Aransas because it
puts them closer to the gulf.
