Don't feel bad if you associate this unassuming town with its unlucky past: it's probably
best known for the infamous 1993 'Waco Siege' that took place nearby. While lacking any
major thrills, this is a pleasant little city with a few fun museums (Dr Pepper, anyone?).
Waco is home to the largest Baptist university on earth (Baylor University) and college
legend claims that students can ostensibly attend a different-area Baptist church every
weekend during their four years. (It's true - there are a whopping 97 of them.) Churchgo-
ing aside, you'll find some diversions in this town that is a gateway to the Plains beyond.
