In-Depth Information
NORTH OF DALLAS & FORT WORTH
Much of region's phenomenal growth is in the north. Quaint little towns such as McKinney
are now enveloped by the Metroplex. Towns such as Grapevine, however, have their own
inherent charms and you can go far enough north that you leave all the urban hubbub far
behind.

Grapevine
POP 47,400
Although it's right next to DFW International Airport, Grapevine is as quaint a town as
you'll find in the Metroplex. Its classic Main St oozes history and appeal, and begs a stroll.
Thanks to the airport fees, its myriad civic attractions are well funded.
Sights
With the exception of the Grapevine Mills mall, everything listed here is in the walkably
compact historic downtown.
