In-Depth Information
Some offer packages that include meals, and some even host overnight rides; many of
them take advantage of the Hill Country State Natural Area, a park covering over 5000
acres.
If you'd like to stay longer, these dude ranches offer all-inclusive experiences with
horseback riding, meals and a place to hang up your hat for the night. Overnight stays all
cost about the same; plan on spending about $130 to$160 per adult per night and $45-90
for the young'uns, and don't be surprised if there's a two-night minimum stay.
Some ranches offer unique features to set themselves apart, but you can generally ex-
pect enormous ranch houses set on hundreds of acres, with horseback riding included in
the price of your stay. Other amenities might include hayrides, campfires and barbecues.
