Sleeping
Fredericksburg is a popular weekend getaway, especially during the spring, which means
room rates are at their highest then. It's easier to find rooms during the week if you have
that sort of flexibility and, depending on the hotel, you might save a bucket of money on
room rates.
Guesthouses and B&Bs are a popular choice in Fredericksburg - there are hundreds.
Local reservations services, including Gastehaus Schmidt ( 830-997-5612, 866-427-8374;
www.fbglodging.com ; 231 W Main St) , Main Street B&B Reservation Service ( 830-997-0153, 888-559-8555;
www.travelmainstreet.com ; 337 E Main St) and Absolute Charm Luxury B&B Reservation Service (
866-244-7897; www.absolutecharm.com ; 709 W Main St) , can help you find anything from a flowery
guestroom in a B&B to your own 19th-century limestone cottage.
Dietzel Motel
( 830-997-3330; www.dietzelmotel.com ; 1141 W US 290; d $60-96; ) This family-run motel
is a great budget option located at the west end of town, away from the hustle and bustle.
