It has two floors of exhibits focusing on interactive play, including the Tot Spot, the Art Pavilion, the Bubble
Ranch and Leonardo's Lab. There's plenty for kids to do: open an account and use an ATM at the Good Cents
Bank; run an airport and fly an airplane; or learn about science in PowerBall Hall.
Community volunteers and local businesses come in for workshops and special events; check the website or
call for a schedule. Parking is validated for one hour at MidCity Parking Garage at 240 E Houston St, and at St
Mary's Garage at 400 N St Mary's St.

Museum, they can graduate to this museum on the eastern edge of Brackenridge Park. The Witte (pronounced
'witty') is educational but engaging, with hands-on explorations of natural history, science and Texas history.
Don't miss the Science Treehouse, a high-tech activity center in back of the museum building. It's a hit with all
ages, even the really big kids (aka parents). The museum is free on Tuesday from 3pm to 8pm.

largest endangered-animal collections in the country. Overall, 750 species call this 9000-acre zoo home. At the
time of writing, the zoo was gearing up for its 2014 Zoocentennial and big changes were afoot, including a new
central plaza and carousel.
(Note: This isn't a good place to spend a hot summer afternoon; come early or late when the animals aren't in-
side complaining about the heat.)
