corner in historic Hyde Park, the Adams House will have you feeling like a local resident
in no time. The welcoming guestrooms have hardwood floors, high ceilings, wooden shut-
ters and antique beds, all the better to make yourself at home.
During the week, guests can help themselves to a continental breakfast, and on the
weekends get a full breakfast served in the dining room. Although there's no pool on site,
it's just down the street from a city pool that's open during the summer months.

This stately building is hands down the most photogenic B&B in town. Weekend guests
might have to fight their way through wedding parties or bridal photos - an unavoidable
side effect of staying in a historic mansion with beautiful grounds - to get to their antique-
clad rooms.

tionist's dream come true. The owners picked up this run-down property, dusted it off and
- well, they more than dusted it off. They completely restored it and decorated it in a
plush European style.
The rooms come in a variety of flavors and are located in two separate buildings - Vict-
oria House or Burton House - so check the website to find one that suits.

building in the bustling West Campus area started as a private residence, spent some time
as a fraternity house, and has now been outfitted with claw-foot tubs and Victorian fur-
nishings. The wraparound porches might sag a bit, but they're a gracious place to sit a
spell.
If the main house is full, they can set you up at Austin Folk House, their sister property
just down the street, or in their newly opened but unimaginatively named Building 2,
which sits just behind the main house.
