MUSIC
Eeyore's Birthday Party
( 512-448-5160; www.eeyores.com ; Pease Park, 1100 Kingsbury St) Perhaps no other annual
event proves Austin's offbeat flavor so completely. This event in late April, started during
the hippy-dippy 1960s, has maypole dancing, live music and even a birthday cake for the
namesake melancholy Winnie-the-Pooh character. You'll feel silly if you don't wear a
costume.

May with live rock, country, Latin and world music and kids' carnival rides along E 6th

with block parties, music and a parade.
