series of concerts is held here every January and February featuring big international artists popular with the 40-
to 50-something wine-swilling demographic.
Short tours ($5) take place at 11am and 3pm. There's a charge for tastings ($5), but lingering over wine and
cheese on the terrace sure beats hanging around the departure lounge.

Auckland is the main international gateway to NZ, and a hub for domestic flights.

is 21km
south of the city centre. It has separate international and domestic terminals, each with a
tourist information centre. A free shuttle service operates every 15 minutes (5am to
10.30pm) between the terminals and there's also a signposted footpath (about a 10-minute
walk). Both terminals have left-luggage facilities, ATMs and car-rental desks, although
you may get better rates from companies in town.
