In-Depth Information
Sölden
The Ötztal ( Click here ) is defined by some of the wildest and highest mountains in Aus-
tria. Its main ski resort is snow-sure Sölden ( www.soelden.com ; Tyrol; 6-day pass €246) , with 150km
of slopes between 1350m and 3340m, a state-of-the-art lift network and a crazy après-ski
scene. The terrain is intermediate heaven, but presents more of a challenge on long runs
such as the 50km Big 3 Rally and off-piste. A bonus to skiing here is the snow reliability
on two glaciers (Rettenbach and Tiefenbach), making this a great pre- or late-season
choice.
